We're assuming you've already worked through the 40 Days study and have also given each of the preceding topics it's week's worth of attention. If so, let's do some intentional preparation for future fruit bearing.

Week 5 : Holy Spirit

Where we left off... 40 Days - Day 5:

The “family” relationship afforded with God by our advocate/comforter involves more than one's mind. God's Spirit moves us from deep within to trust the one who has been perfectly and consistently loving.

What you should learn this week:

• The Holy Spirit is a person in the Trinity...not an impersonal force.

• Entering into personal relationship with the Trinity, begins with the Holy Spirit.

• Our spiritual growth and eventual success in purpose depends on our willingness to yield to the Spirit.

• Human families were modeled after the Holy Trinity.

Your "Faith in Action" challenge this week:

Galatians 5:22-23 says there is certain "fruit" that the Spirit will produce in your life. Each day this week, pray specifically that God produce more of the following in your life...also ask at least one trusted individual how they would rate you (scale 1-10) in each day's fruit:

1. Joy, Peace

2. Patience, Kindness

3. Gentleness, Goodness,

4. Faithfulness (reliability)

5. Self-control
